The company previously trademarked GTA: Bogota and Grand Theft Auto: Sin City, so maybe there's a clue there. Rockstar is said to have found the Tokyo road system problematic, and would have also had to change series staples like cars and brands. Unfortunately, however, there's still no word on where the new game will be set, although if the Tokyo report is anything to go by, it's unlikely to take place outside of the USA. Preliminary work for GTA 6 is under way according to TechRadar, which also said that Rockstar once scrapped plans to set a Grand Theft Auto game in Tokyo. Work has reportedly started on the next game in the Grand Theft Auto series.
